How to Edit or Add Response Templates

In this article, you'll learn how to add, remove and edit response templates.

This is where you get to add, delete, or edit response templates. There are several default response templates already added.

To add a new template, click on Add, then choose a specific brand/region (or all), choose a category, a language, and a rating (there are 3 types of ratings, negative [1, 2 stars], neutral [3 stars], and positive [4, 5 stars] that you can choose from).

Finally, add your template in the field. You can use our replacement keys that will help you fill the template with things such as the reviewer’s name, the brand’s name, or a system generated link that helps you ask the reviewer for their contact details.

You are also able to edit existing templates by clicking the pen icon in the “edit” column.

You can have up to 3 templates per combo of category, language, and rating. That means you get to have for example 3 under general/positive, another 3 under general/neutral, and another 3 under general/negative (all in English), and so on.

To adjust the default categories, visit Settings > Other and under Review Categories, you will be able to add/edit/delete categories. You can have up to 5 different categories.

When adding a new Category, remember to add Response Templates for it under Settings > Response.

Note that deleting a Category will also delete the Response Templates associated with it, which can potentially disrupt the Auto-response feature.

To adjust languages, visit Settings > Other and under Response Languages, you will be able to add more languages and delete ones you do not want to see.

When adding a new Language, remember to add Response Templates for it under Settings > Response.
