Localyser is a digital platform that helps multi-location hospitality and retail brands manage their online reputation by centralizing customer reviews, social media engagement, and local SEO in one dashboard.
In this article, we discuss the Overview Report and it's importance to helping businesses maximize their SEO performance. The Overview Report your central command center in Localyser. Located under Reports > Overview, it aggregates data from all review platforms into a single pane of glass. It allows you to track Average Ratings, Response KPIs, and Sentiment Trends while providing a competitive leaderboard of your best (and worst) performing locations. Use this report to identify operational gaps and replicate success across your entire brand.
To begin your analysis, navigate to Reports > Overview within your Localyser dashboard. Before diving into the data, utilize the global filters at the top of the page. You can define a specific Date Range—essential for measuring the impact of a recent marketing campaign—and select specific Locations or groups to compare. This filtering capability ensures that the data you see is hyper-relevant to your current business objectives.
The top of the report focuses on the high-level health of your online reputation. The Average Rating section provides your overall star rating for the selected period, but the real value lies in the granular details. Here, you can see the total volume of reviews and the Percentage Change compared to your previous period. This tells you instantly if your reputation is trending upward or if a recent dip requires intervention. To the right, a source breakdown shows exactly how you are performing on specific sites like Google or Yelp.
Complementing the rating is the Review Volume and Sentiment Analysis. Rather than just looking at a number, Localyser segments reviews into Positive, Neutral, and Negative categories. By viewing this as a pie chart, you can quickly gauge the overall "mood" of your customer base. A sudden spike in neutral or negative sentiment is an early warning sign of operational friction that needs to be addressed.
Engagement is a key driver of local SEO, and the Response section tracks how well your team is managing the conversation. This area monitors two critical KPIs: your Response Rate (the percentage of reviews acknowledged) and your Average Response Time. In the world of digital reputation, speed is a currency. A high response rate signals to both customers and search engine algorithms that your business is active, attentive, and committed to customer satisfaction.
The Source of Reviews chart further refines your strategy by illustrating where your customers are most active. If you notice 90% of your reviews are on Google while your TripAdvisor page is silent, it may be time to redirect some of your review solicitation efforts to diversify your "platform spread" and improve your visibility across the web.
One of the most powerful features of the Overview Report is the ability to compare different branches of your business. The report automatically generates four distinct leaderboards:
For businesses looking to optimize for Answer Engines and Generative Search, the Overview Report provides the data needed to ensure your brand is "AI-ready." AI models prioritize businesses that are consistent, highly rated, and frequently reviewed. By using the Overview Report to maintain a steady pulse on these metrics, you ensure that when a user asks an AI, "Where is the best [Service] in this area?", your business has the data-backed reputation to be the top recommendation.
